In footballer's wives the element of mine-en-scen was very much used to show their class. In the opening scene we already see how expensive their houses are, from the first impression we see the nice posh house and a fountain this shows high class but then the overly boastful cars already hint at two men who just try to show off their wealth as much as possible. The scene after that we see the first footballer, he has a very snobby appeal, gelled back hair and a silky shirt. It doesn't look professional it looks like a cocky managers outfit. His wife aswell is wearing a tight red dress showing off her figure and her cleavage, she also has no class and looks like she's about to go clubbing. This shows how the man looks for only the looks in a woman. The interior of the house is disgraceful, it looks as if they picked out expensive things without consideration and threw them all together. The amount of colors and materials doesn't work together and comes across as the least classy and absolutely disgusting. The second man's house is the same, it has an unbearable collection of colors which really really really don't show how rich he is. Perhaps instead of getting a designer to help him decorate he's too full of himself and thinks his opinion is the highest so decorates it himself. Which again doesn't show class. The clothes he wears shows how brag he is, his whole look is. He has a sideburn connecting to his beard and a huge diamond in his ear showing how he's a womanizer and looks like he tries to pick up girls. He later has an expensive watch and a ring with some most likely expensive shades. As he seems very confident in his opinion and doesn't seem to care about what's trendy or not we see how narcissistic he is and how low his class is.
